Infrastructure
The GPM3 laboratory is equipped with comprehensive infrastructure for the advanced synthesis of new organic molecules and complexes. The facilities include fume hoods, multiple stirring and heating plates, semi-analytical and analytical balances, rotary evaporators, solvent distillation systems, drying ovens and vacuum ovens, a muffle furnace, ice machine, Schlenk line with argon, catalytic hydrogenation reactors, microwave reactors, as well as a wide range of glassware, solvents, and chemical reagents.
In addition, the laboratory is equipped with several instruments that allow thermal and photophysical characterization of the synthesized materials:
Polarized Optical Microscope – Olympus BX53, equipped with a Mettler Toledo FP-82 hot stage with controlled heating and an Olympus DP73 digital camera
DSC – TA Instruments Q2000, equipped with an RCS90 cooling module
TGA – Shimadzu, model TGA-50
UV–Vis Absorption Spectrophotometer – Shimadzu, model UV-2600
Fluorescence Spectrophotometer – Hitachi, model F-7000
Fluorescence Spectrophotometer – Horiba, model FluoroMax-Plus-C-P
